Homemade Pizza Supreme
Even if you've never made pizza from scratch, I hope you'll try this recipe. it's the highlight of my favorite casual meal. You have to plan ahead to allow rising time for the dough, but it is easy to work with and the crust is so good.
PREP TIME 45 Min
COOK TIME 30 Min
READY IN 1 Hr 15 Min
INGREDIENTS
1 (.25 ounce) package active dry yeast
2 cups warm water (110 degrees to 115 degrees)
3 tablespoons vegetable oil
1 1/2 teaspoons salt
4 cups all-purpose flour
SAUCE:
2 (8 ounce) cans tomato sauce
1 1/2 teaspoons grated onion
1 teaspoon dried oregano
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon pepper
TOPPINGS:
4 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
4 ounces Canadian bacon, diced (optional)
1 (3.25 ounce) package sliced pepperoni
1 medium red bell pepper, sliced
1 medium green pepper, sliced
1 (2.25 ounce) can sliced ripe olives, drained
1 cup chopped onion
1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1/2 cup minced fresh basil
DIRECTIONS
In a large mixing bowl, dissolve yeast in warm water. Add oil, salt and 2 cups flour. Beat on medium speed for 3 minutes. Stir in enough remaining flour to form a soft dough. Turn onto a floured surface; knead until smooth and elastic, about 6-8 minutes. Place in a greased bowl, turning once to grease top. Cover and let rest in a warm place for 10 minutes.
Combine sauce ingredients; set aside. Divide dough in half. On a floured surface, roll each portion into a 13-in. circle. Transfer to two greased 12-in. pizza pans; build up edges slightly. Bake at 375 degrees F for 15 minutes or until lightly browned. Spread with sauce; sprinkle with toppings. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until cheese is melted.
I make them extremely simple.....
Sourdough english muffins
Spagetti Sauce
Cheese or any other toppings...bake until hot
They are sooooo good!
ok first you get water and flour and make the dough and then cook it and put on the stuff
there are recipes below ,,but i use the premade crust in the deli and the premade sauce (ragu) makes a good pizza sauce then top it how ever u like i love birds eye italian sausage in the tube its awsome ,,and i use a variety of cheeses have fun!! happy new year!!!
First you need dough - quickest way is to buy premaded dough - but I perfer to make my own. i do not like to hand mix so I use my bread machine to make the dough
the recipe I have.
1 cup of flat beer 2 &1/2 cups of flour
1 tsp of salt 2 Tbs of butter
1 Tbs of sugar 2 &1/4 tbs dry active yeast (1 packet)
preheat oven to 400 degrees
spray bread machine container with pam, add flour, salt, sugar, butter, and yeast first - then add the 1 cup of flat beer - run on dough only cycle (about 80 minutes)
Remove from machine and let stand about 30 mminutes.
roll until it is about 1/4 inch thick - put on pizza tray and trim off excess dough.
cover dough with light coating of olive oil - put sauce, toppings and cheese on top
bake in oven at 400 degrees for 28 minutes
The key to a great pizza is the crust. Any pizza will taste bad if the crust is bad. A great crust is made with great flour.
Bread Flour
Beer
Yeast
Mix and need; Use a bread machine if you have one. I won't go into details.
Next, buy some pizza sauce from store. They're quite hard to find. If you can't find it, you can use any sauce you like...but I wouldn't recommend ketchup.
Spread your sauce even and thin. You're not here to eat the sauce.
Top it with cheese. The cheese need to be mixed with at least 2 kind. You can use the pre-packaged 4 cheese blend that's frequently found in stores, or mix one yourself.
Add any topping you like.
Preheat oven to 500F, and bake for 7 minutes for chewy crust . Or 450F for 10 minutes for a more crunchy crust.
go to the link I have on my profile. Then go to main dishes I have a recipe with a picture up.

Pizza Hut Original Pan Pizza
1 1/3 cups warm water (105 F)
1/4 cup non-fat powdered milk
1/2 teaspoon salt
4 cups flour
1 tablespoon granulated sugar
1 (1/16 ounce) package dry yeast
2 tablespoons vegetable oil (for dough)
9 ounces vegetable oil (3 ounces per pan)
butter-flavored Pam cooking spray
Since going healthier eating style, we use this one and we actually like it better than any we've ever used.
Herbed Whole Wheat Pizza Dough
1 cup water
2 tablespoons olive oil or cooking oil
2 cups bread flour
1 cup whole wheat flour
2 teaspoons dried basil, oregano, or Italian seasoning, crushed
3/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon active dry yeast or bread machine yeast
Cornmeal (optional)
Add all of the ingredients except cornmeal to a 1-1/2- or 2-pound
bread machine according to the manufacturer's directions. Select the
dough cycle. When the cycle is complete, remove dough from machine.
Punch down. Cover and let rest 10 minutes.
For thin-crust pizza: Divide dough in half. For each pizza, grease
an 11- or 12-inch pizza pan or a large baking sheet. If desired,
sprinkle pan with cornmeal. On lightly floured surface, roll 1
portion of dough into a 12- to 13-inch circle. Transfer to prepared
pan, building up edge slightly. Prick crust with a fork. do not let
dough rise. Bake in a 425 degree F oven 10 to 12 minutes or until
lightly browned. Add desired topping. Bake for 10 to 15 minutes more
or until edge of crust is golden brown and the topping is bubbly.
For thick-crust pizza: Grease a 13- or 14-inch pizza pan. If
desired, sprinkle greased pan with cornmeal. With greased fingers,
pat dough into prepared pan, building up the edge. Cover and let
rise in a warm place for 30 to 45 minutes or until nearly double.
Bake in a 375 degree F oven for 20 to 25 minutes or until lightly
browned. Add desired topping. Bake for 15 to 20 minutes more or
until the topping is bubbly. Makes two 11- or 12-inch thin-crust
pizzas or one 13- or 14-inch thick-crust pizza (6 servings).
Our favorite toppings are very thinly sliced fresh roma tomatoes, fresh basil leaves, grilled chicken breast, pesto sauce and I really love this combo with banana peppers and a sprinkling of good shaved parmesan then some mozzarella.
Another favorite of ours is a Rueben Pizza, but I now use my homeade whole grain crust, but the bread dough is fine also.
