I am making a Ham Swiss Cheese Puffed Pastry app for a party. I need to jazz it up-what else can I put in it?!

Question: Can I put chive and onion cream cheese in it? I am not sure if I can cook cream cheese in it. I already thought of mustard. Any other ideas?
THANKS!

Cream Cheese and Frozen Spinach. Throw in some minced mushroom with salt and pepper to taste. Bon Appetite

bit of oregano, basil, chives, finely chopped & sauteed onion, cream cheese, no mustard.....

yes, you could use chives, green onions, cream cheese.....you could also add a seasoned Cheddar (like pepper jack, jalapeno chedder, maybe even some asiago eetc etc etc.....)

Lettuce and tomatoes when it cools off.

any kind of seeds like sesame
red bell peper
just make the pastry
and fill it with your cream cheese when they are cold
you make me hungry!

I am a former chef and used to do somehting similar in one places I worked, a bit dijon mustard on the pastry, I slivered the ham and mixed with the cheese, fresh herbs like chive or dill dried are fine to, garlic, but not to much. Even diced onions or red peppers, mix all the ingredients, cream cheese, ham, herbs and swiss cheese in a bowl, now for a really rich filling and egg yolk with a few breadcrumbs added will make it almost mousse like when baked.

Roll the pastry, spread on the mustard, add your filling, top it with the second piece, maybe struedel style, crimp the edges with a fork, save the egg white and use it to glaze the pastry, bake at 375 for 30-40 minute I save a bit of cheese and in the last 10 minutes sprinkled it on for a nice melty look, let it cool for a few minutes before cutting, you can make mini turnovers, individual ones or the large one to slice, and it is better the next day lightly warmed in the microwave also.

In addition to the other suggestions, I would like to add capers to the list.
