i would say ham salad, go to allrecipes, they probably got a bunch . nothing like a good ham salad sandwich on good toasted bread with lots of mayo, crisp lettice, a couple of bread and butter pickles. and a big bag of potato chip and a cold soft drink or beer, then a fresh brownie, warm from the oven, yummy. good luck and happy eating, bacondebaker

Ham Salad:
Dice the ham, add cold cooked green peas, cubed cheddar cheese, salt, pepper, and diced onion if you wish...mix togerther with a bit of mayo...Yum.

Cut it into cubes and make some yellow rice with the ham in it and place a can of corn too all in the rice maker and it is yummy.

Google a good recipe for potato soup, or white bean soup.......both would be good.......you can also grind up some of that ham, and make a ham loaf. I would Google that too. Best wishes .... !

You can freeze it in ziplocs, but you can make cheese and ham biscuits, Ham and Bean soup with 3 of your favorite beans, some tomato sauce and seasonings. Put it in homemade mac and cheese. Omelets. Just snack on it too.

here you go..i always make this when there is leftover ham..
this is the easiest..and very little ingreadients
3 cups peeled and cubed potatoes
1/2 cup chopped celery
1/2 cup chopped onion
1 cup chicken stock(u can buy ready made)
1 cup water
1 teaspoon dried parsley
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 pinch ground black pepper
1 1/2 cups milk
1 1/2 cups shredded American cheese (any creamy cheese)
1 teaspoon flour( to thicken)
1 cup chopped ham

DIRECTIONS
In a large stock pot add potatoes, celery, onion, chicken stock, water and parsley flakes. Season with salt and pepper and simmer until vegetables become tender.
In a separate bowl mix flour and milk. Once it is well blended, add to soup mixture and cook until soup becomes thick.
Stir in cheese, cooked ham or hamburger and simmer until cheese is melted

Ham & Scalloped Potatoes, Ham Omelet, Ham Quiche, Ham & Bean Soup ( use the bone too, for flavoring), Ham & Cabbage, Potato, Onion, Green Beans & Carrots (New England Boiled Dinner), Minced Ham Spread, Ham & Pork Loaf, Ham Salad Sandwiched, etc......

ham is very versatile first take half of your ham and divide it up into individual Ziploc bags for another time it freezes very well. for breakfast add ham and chopped green peppers and onions with cheese for a nice omelet, lunch have a ham on pumpernickel with Swiss cheese,or instead of slicing salami for a snack use ham and a good cheddar cheese on a good buttery cracker, dinner why not add chopped ham to your favorite red beans and rice mix along with left over chicken deboned and copped and if you also have any left over shrimp dump that in for a quick and easy jambalaya. don't put yourself in a slump ham can be added to just about anything
and i hope you didn't throw out that ham bone because that is very useful too in adding flavor and thickening a pot of bean soup

Here is the one I suggested the other day for leftover ham.I have another good one,but can't find it at the moment.....sorry.
I also like creamed ham over toast points or over biscuits and

Scalloped Potato's and Ham!!!

Peel and thinly slice potatos. Put in cold water. Make a medium white sauce (for each cup of milk you use 2 Tbsp each of butter and flour, 1/4 tsp salt and a 1/8 tsp. of white pepper). Minced onion (1-3 tsp per cup of milk) makes a nice addition. Saute them in the butter before adding the flour when you are making the sauce.

Note: How to make perfect white sauce. Melt the butter, add the flour, salt and pepper and whisk together or use a spoon or whisk. When the mixture is bubbling, add HOT milk and whisk throughly until it is thickened.( I add garlic and onion powder, salt and pepper, paprika.)

Quantities are up to you....figure 3/4 - 1 c of potato and 1/2 c sauce per serving. I always make a extra sauce, just in case and it does reheat very well in the micro. Drain potatos, add to sauce put in greased pan. Bake uncovered at 350 until potatos are tender. If you don't want them to brown, cover with foil. If you are baking the meat course at another temperature this is very forgiving. It will take longer at lower temperatures and will brown too fast at higher temperature, if left uncovered. If it looks like it is getting a little dry just add a little hot milk and stir. It is very forgiving.
You can add just about any cooked meat to make a main dish.(Ham, sliced hot dogs or low fat polish sausage or Kielbasa.

Put cheese in the sauce you will have potatos au gratin.

What about Carbonara. Just dice the ham and saute it gently with some sliced mushrooms and garlic. Pour over some double cream and stir in a couple of teaspoons of dijon mustard. Pour over cooked pasta and bingo - a lovely meal in minutes !

You can buy Navy or Northern dried beans or 15-Bean dried beans. Follow the instructions on the package and when making your beans, you can drop the ham bone and meat right in there and cook it together. Makes delicious ham and bean soup!

you can use dry beans or beans from a can (I like navy, or butter beans) add the ham and some bacon to the beans and cook ...serve over rice...

Put the ham in zipper bag and use it when you cook green beans, or egg omlet or stuff like that...or just to munch on it.
