A dallop is like a big spoonful.

a dollop is like what would fall off of a teaspoon-- like whipped cream

Apples and oranges. You can have a pinch of salt but only a dollop of whipped cream. You can have a pinch of truth, but a dollop of BS. The average guy is used to a pinch of this and that, but it takes a politician to shovel dollops.

This question doesn't make sense, since one is for dry ingredients and the other for wet, gloppy ingredients.

A pinch is for measuring dry ingredients, like herbs. And it's just what it sounds like, put your thumb and index finger into the herbs and pinch out a bit for use.

I did a Google search and found that a dollop is a little blob of a soft food, such as a mounded spoon of whipped cream plopped on a piece of pie, as an edible garnish.

a pinch is a dry measurement, and a dollop is liquid...lol

there is approximately two smidgens in a dollop...

Pinches are for dry goods Dollops are for whipped goods.
