I have a recipe for regular size muffins, but want to make mini muffins. What should I do differently?!
Answers: Thanks!
The recipe should remain the same. However, if you put large chunks of dried fruit, chocolate, or other lumpy ingredients in your muffins, you may want to dice the fruit into smaller pieces or use mini chocolate chips. Because mini-muffin tins take only a small amount of batter, large chunks of fruit or chocolate will dominate a mini muffin. I've found that muffins bake in my mini-muffin pans in about 8 - 10 minutes and 375 degrees Fahreinheit.
Good luck!
Nothing to the recipe itself, just watch the first batch for the time you bake them. Less time needed to bake mini's.
If your using a smaller muffin pan I would shorten the baking time, watching the first batch closely to see when they are done. Then cook the second (If you have more) at the same time. I don't think you need to adjust the actual recipe though.
Not much. Just put them in the mini-muffin pan instead. It will probably yield about twice as many as regular size.
You will need to adjust the baking time--watch them closely and bake them at the same temp but for shorter time. Use toothpick test for doneness.
(Be sure to grease or spray the pan or use mini muffin liner cups!)
You really don`t have to alter the recipe at all.Just watch them, because they will take less time than the regular size ones. Also they will make more.
Just use a smaller cup size and watch them while they bake because they won't need as much time! Happy eating!!
Depending on how small you want to make the muffins, cut the recipe into halves and just make a smaller portion.
You need a mini muffin tin. The recipe will not change, it's the pan that you bake them in that will be different.
put them in smaller pans (Muffin cups, that kind of thing)
