I like them in rings, too. I cut them into thick slices and brush both sides with oil. Sprinkle both sides with salt (or some other seasoning ... Jamaican Jerk, for example), and lay the slices on the grill. Brown on one side, use tongs to turn them over.

I found that keeping them in slices works better than trying to grill the rings separately ... a lot less likely to fall into the fire that way!

I like to sautee them in loads of butter and olive oil. put them in an aluminum disposable pan and set them on top rack and let them simmer for about 30 minutes.

just put them in foil and throw them on the grill

Quarter them and wrap them in foil with a little oil and honey. Delish!

i like them in turkey burgers, but your best bet (if your cooking them by themselves) is on aluminum foil

Cut them in half, brush a little olive oil on them, and put them on the grill.

rings is the only way to go!

We love to cut the onions into 3/4" thick slices, then put them on skewers. We then coat them lightly with olive oil and season with fresh ground sea salt and black pepper.

Grill right along with the steaks or burgers (about 5 minutes per side), then take off the skewers and separate into onion rings.

Yum!

I'm Aussie and we do ours on the plate in slices with butter and beer!! How? melt butter on the plate, add onions, saute, then add a small quantity of beer. Perferably from a can already opened.

just slice and season to taste and throw on the grill, then place on top of meat yum!

I chop them up into onion rings and fry them in this amazing garlic-infused olive oil I found in a local deli with some chopped up tomatoes. I serve the onion and tomato mix on top of a steak that I cook at the same time with some chopped up basil on top.

it has to be rings and lots of them, put some beer on a very hot plate and dump the onion rings on. Knob of butter on top and let it melt through,

toss them once and leave in a pile, that way you get some burnt ones on the bottom ranging to less cooked on top, cover off all guests tastes

Turn on the BBQ.Then put the onions on
