How do you make the crunchiest, lightest pork crackling?!

Question: Husband has bought a slab of pork rind for me to crackle, I've never been particularly good at it. Something about rubbing in oil and salt ?? Other people say steam it first?

I need some advice please.

Deep fat fry?????? When I prepare a ham, I score it, season it and then bake it a 400 F and check every 10 minutes or so, maybe even turn it down after 10 minutes or when its brown and crispy and then bake it further at a lower heat, maybe 350. Steaming would make it impossible to get crispy.

you asked the wrong person.
