Dipping Boneless, Skinless Chicken Breasts in egg???!

Question: What does this do???

I was going to pour some cream of chicken over the chicken before baking. Should I add water to the soup as you normally would when cooking soup, or just the soup by itself????

Dipping the chicken in egg is a way to keep the flour or cracker crumbs(coatings) to stick to the chicken and it helps in making it crispier.

You wont need to do the egg, if you are pouring soup over the chicken.

Don't dilute the soup. The juices from the chicken will dilute it just enough.

I have no idea on the egg and the chicken thing.
But if the soup your using calls for water then put it in.

It makes the flour adhere better,,,,no, don't add water to the soup, just pour it on..

Don;t add water unless the recipe calls for it. Usually you dip chicken in egg then batter to make fried chicken or shake and bake....but do make sure to clean the chicken.

you dip it in egg so it hold flour or bread crumbs, if your not going to fry it, its pointless to use egg, if you going to use cream soup with it, dont add any water unless you want creme of chicken soup with chicken in it.... just use the condensed soup.... you can add 1 cups rice uncooked, 2 cups water and your chicken in a baking dish, cover it and cook on 375 for 60 minutes..... mmmmmmm
