Does it work well to freeze sliced and peeled kiwi for later use in smoothies?!

Question: I would think that it would work just fine -- you can buy bags of frozen kiwi at the store, so why not do it yourself? I do have one suggestion though -- when I freeze my own fruit (just for smoothies later), I puree it first and then freeze it in an ice cube tray, pop 'em out, and freeze them in ziploc bags. That way, when I make my smoothie, I'm never left with those annoying chunks of fruit when I wanted a SMOOTHie. :) It works great!

might get mushy

if you freeze your fruit or use frozen fruit and then blend it into your mixture it will make your smoothie thicker. in the end you won't have to add as much ice if you were planning to because the fruit is frozen. it will also chill your drink. :)

I would puree the fruit and freeze in little snack cups so you can use as much as you like. It will be fine for smoothies.
