Cake n bread for crockpot?!
Answers: I don't have one of those. Where can you get one and if you can't get one then is there something you can use as a substitute?
I think you are right that they don't make that cake pan anymore - I haven't seen one even advertised by Rival in more than a decade. They never were very popular. Back in the 70's people did use 3 pound coffee cans instead, but coffee cans these days are not what they used to be, starting with the fact that none of them are as large as three pounds.
I would first look at the Rival web site to see if they still offer the pan. Then I would check eBay for the pan. And after that I would find one of those local "flea market" type places where various sellers offer all kinds of older kitchen & dining stuff and haunt the place until I found one.
you don't have a crock pot? or what? if you mean crock pot, you can find them everywhere right now and on sale even from christmas! not sure what you mean....do you mean the pan for cooking cake and bread in a crock pot? not sure where to get those either, i want one though. i did just get a new crock pot and it's oval so i don't know where i would find one...the recipe book that came with the crock pot recommends using strips of foil so that you will be able to easily pull out what you have in it like handles....
you have to check out this link

later. If you look at the recipes on the links I posted below, you will see that they are for cooking in the crockpot itself or in tins that fit in the crockpot. there is no mention of a special pan.
Hope this helps
They have the pans on ebay..Search under "crockpot cake" ...I always assumed that they just put the cake or bread in the crockpot itself...I never knew about these inserts...
