no just buy some choc chips and follow the recipe on the bag how to melt in the microwave!! dip , cool , eat!!!!!!!!!!!

Des i like the way you think, lolol the type of chocolate you use is up to you ,milk chocolate is very creamy, dark chocolate can be a little bitter, then there is the Dutch, or Belgian the USA brands your choice, but for me, mmmmmmmmm milk chocolate.

Well you can really use just about anything. Just make sure that if you melt chocolate chips you add a little butter to the mixture to make it smoother.

You also want to use the double boiler method as its much easier for dipping.

If you have access to a Michael's craft store they sell the meltable chocolates in a wide variety of colors , actually. You can even do blue chocolate :)

Aside from that lol , you just stick the little melts into a glass/oven safe bowl on top of a pot with a little bit of water on the bottom of it. I dont know if you know about double boilers or melting chocolate that way, if you want to know more, just send me a message.

:)

Buy semi-sweet chips kind. Real chocolate tends to dry out more because its thicker.

Technically, no. However, chocolate chips you buy in a store won't always melt smoothly and you'll find it hard to dip anything. While it's easier to simply find fondue chocolate, if you can't or don't have time, go out and buy good quality chocolate chips. Melt them in a DOUBLE BOILER, not a fondue pot. It doesn't look as nice, but it will help prevent the chocolate from seizing (clumping together and refusing to melt). Be sure not to get any water in the chips and if they look like they aren't melting smoothly, add a small bit of oil, either canola or vegetable.

To get the chocoalte to harden on strawberries, it's a good idea to add a Tbsp or so of Crisco shortening to the chocoalte... semi-sweet works better than milk.

For fonue, it doesn't matter, just don't burnit!

Just good quality chocolate, 70% cocoa solids if possible.
