Should I have done this?!

Question: Bought the Xmas turkey frozen and very large, allowed ample time to defrost , did all the usual and popped it in the oven.
Great no problems , very good meal we all enjoyed it! Cooked turkey put in the fridge , next day turkey sandwiches as required.
I looked at the remains that evening half a giant turkey, I couldnt imagine any one wanting more turkey sandwiches in the near future, so I carved it up, bagged it up, and froze it.
My intention is whenever I feel like a cold turkey sandwich I just take out a few slices, let them defrost and nibble away, not to do any reheating just a cold sandwich!! Any problems????? Should I bin the lot???

yeah there is nothing wrong with that

The only thing I would worry about it freezer burn!

Eat up Budding Author, and invite me over for a sandwich!

You did just fine..... I freeze leftover turkey all the time (at least 5 times a year anyway).

I use it for soups, casseroles, turkey lasagna, pot pies......and....... sandwiches!

It should be fine. We do it all the time.. Although it takes a while to defros.

I am reading that---you cooked it on the 25th and ate turkey sandwiches the next day and sliced, diced, and bagged the rest of it up and put into the freezer on the 26th?
You did exactly right. The frozen leftover turkey is safe to eat. When you defrost it, put it into the fridge to defrost. Also, you can heat it up and have hot turkey for dinner.

Sounds ok to me

I have found that if it isn't sealed well it can dry out in the freezer, but it won't make you sick or anything like that.
