Any good recipies for extremely picky eaters?!
Answers: My husband only eats two veggies: potatoes and corn. No sauce of any kind is allowed on the food. Help, I am planning on cooking chicken tonight but my mind is blank.... Any ideas?
It depends on the kind of picky he is!!
I am an extremely picky eater. ( I pick the green things out of ramen!) But I will eat sauces. Infact, I LOVE sauces. But I don't eat meat. I'm really big on texture.
My brother in law is also extremely picky, but the exact opposite. No sauces on anything ever, big meat and potato eater.
Some people will be anti- tomato, and anti- anything-involving-tomatos. (like my brother in law)
I Don't like eating actual tomatos, but I can eat ketchup or tomato soup.
It depends on your husband really. I would just make some boneless skinless chicken breasts, some corn, and mashed potatos. He's guaranteed to like that, isn't he?! Or maybe try something creative with the chicken. Use different flavorings. Put chicken in something else? Does he like chili? make chicken chili con carne.
I'm in the same boat sister! Except I usually just make two seperate dinners every night. Otherwise he'd be eating just like me, the poor guy.
Good luck
Bless your heart. My children have more mature palates than your husband. Plain, grilled chicken breast may be boring enough to suit him. Make a nice fresh salsa for yourself.
Barbecued Corn on the cob
4 ears of corn
3 tablespoons of butter, melted
2 lemons
Salt to taste
Cayenne to taste
Using a sharp knife, cut along the length of each of the cobs, cutting through the leaves. Open carefully, remove the silks, and brush the kernels with melted butter. Cook on a barbecue for 25 - 45 minutes, turning frequently and allowing them to burn slightly. Sprinkle with salt and cayenne, and eat hot. *If cooking inside, then proceed as above and roast the corn in the oven at 400oF. for 40 -50 minutes.

that attitude (picky nonsense) not acceptable,, this is 2008 AD not BC
COOK FOR YOUR SELF only
let the dog select his food.
My dog would not eat green beans..
he would lick the gravy off though..
He's a meat and potato's man and probably works very hard.
Just bake your chicken with salt and pepper with broth.Make boiled potato's and corn on the side.
Enjoy your dinner. :)
I love to cook and eat, and experiment with food.Having a Picky Eater to contend with is something I WON"T DO. Having someone dissect his/her plate removing things that he/she won't eat (Like I'm trying to poison) them is TOO much to bear. Make your self something tasty (Chicken Marsala) ?? etc and make him chicken cooked to 190F or better(Brutally Dry) You don't have to eat the crap he insists on.If i invite a couple over and one is food challenged I make sure i mince all veggies etc so they can't be picked out.PICKY IS JUST RUDE AND I WON'T ENTERTAIN THAT UNACCEPTABLE BEHAVIOR.
