What's the Difference Between Lemons and Limes?!

Question: Besides the colors of course. I honestly don't know. Thanks.

Limes are more sour and smaller than lemons. They are also picked green. In addition, the commercial limes do not have seeds. The Kaffir lime from Southeast Asia are a "naive" lime and does have seeds and is considerably larger with bumpy rind.

Key limes are considerably smaller with a distinctive flavor.

Limes are more sour than lemons..

They are green.

They are yellow.

they cousins---lime more sour

Limes are bitter/sour and lemons are just sour. The size is different too.

they are both citrus they are grown differently and therefore the flavours, colours etc are different. they both do the same job in regards to cooking though

Lemon is yellow and bigger. Lime is green and smaller.

They taste a little bit different. They are both sour in different ways. I can't describe it. You have to try both to see it yourself.

I'm with cookie-I could tell the difference blindfolded but there's no way to describe what it is-they just taste different.

limes have a slight bitter taste and a stronger sour taste a little like unripe lemon
