Cooking boneless chicken breasts in the waffle iron?!

Question: I was looking for other ways to use the good ole waffle iron and I came across one for burgers...has anyone used the waffle iron to cook boneless chicken breast...I am sure that I would need to butterfly and pound it first but I would like to hear some results if possible...Looking for something different for the "skins game today!

sure you can. I saw it on Rachael Rays last week. Just make sure you spray with non stick spray. I would either butterfly or pound thinly.

No.. don't do it!

Spray some pam spray before.

Hmmm, well it can't be that much different than the George Foreman Grill

Just buy a George Foreman. Only $20

lol, well now that's a good one, never even thought about trying that before! let me know if you have good luck with it. I wonder if chicken tastes good with syrup?

makes perfect sense to me - just like a George Forman grill. Clever clever idea!!!
I do veggies - taters, green peppers, squash, eggplant, onions on the george too
You get an A+ for being so smart!

Perhaps, if they are also skinless. The George Foreman grills work well because they have a drainage port for any grease or oils to drain off. Waffle irons don't.

My first thought was how different can it be from a George Foreman grill? I'd give it a try, but I own a GF and no waffle iron.
