Homemade pizza, its delicious, relatively simple and can be healthy. You can buy ready made pizza bases in most good supermarkets, you have to like add water or something so thats nice and simple. for the tomato sauce use tomato paste, spread it nice and thick, then sprinkle some grated cheese on top. It's fun to have different shaped toppings such as pepporoni, ham, mushrooms, tomatos and olives to make a face or patterns! Then just cook it till the base looks a nice golden brown. If you would like a more specific recipe then Womans weekly Kids is brilliant and starts with things simple such as soups and dips and sandwiches, then gradually moves onto making home-made ice cream and pizza

My first thing I made was deviled eggs! Here is a good recipe for you:

Have fun, experiment! If it doesn't work out, throw it away and start again!! Cooking is my favorite hobby!

Grilled cheese Sandwiches, Scrambled eggs, Tuna salad, my kids were great prep chefs. I taught them how to cook, by getting them in the kitchen and helping prep for the meal. Don't forget to teach them that the meal is not over until the kitchen is clean.

Sweets like cookies and brownies are really good to make, but usually i eat half of the dough when i make it so its not such a great age since we're still growing and all.. try something easy and healthy like steamed vegetables or a mango salsa, my aunt makes the best. Good Luck! ~Curly Que<3

cheesecake or apple crumble is easy as a starters,
irish stew or shepards pie easy too just throw all the ingredients together and hope for the best

12 is perfectly old enough to start using the kitchen and cooking. BUT- the first time you use a certain thing ( the oven, the range, the microwave, the blender, the mixer, etc...) have an adult close at hand to make sure you are doing ok.
Here is a recipe my 17 year old has been making since she was 12 or so.

Scallops with pasta.
In a skillet, put in 1 tablespoon butter and put on medium heat. add 1 tablespoon butter and let melt. When melted, add 1/2 pound bay scallops ( the little ones) and cook for 4 minutes. Add 1 jar of spaghetti sauce and 1 cup of frozen peas. Cook until peas are heated through.

Get a large pasta pot and fill 3/4 of the way up with water. Pour in a bit of olive oil ( about a capful from the bottle) and bring to a rolling boil ( this means to put it on the stove and on high heat until there are lots of bubbles on the top)

Add 1/2 box of spaghetti noodles and use a spaghetti fork to swish around and seperate the noodles.

Cook for 7 minutes and then drain ( you will need Mom to help...) or use a spaghetti fork to transfer pasta to a pasta bowl ( this you can do...)

Once pasta is in bowl, cover with scallops and sauce and enjoy!

let me guess your that 12 year old well brownies are extremly
easy to make

Anything easy, just find things that have explicitly clear directions. Things like Macaroni and Cheese, Hamburger Helper, boxed cake mix/brownies, Rice Krispie treats....you get the idea. I have a recipe for my aunt's cheesy hashbrown casserole it's super easy and good!

1 pkg frozen hashbrowns
1 pkg of shredded cheddar cheese
1 small container of sour cream
1 can of cream of chicken or mushroom soup
Rice Krispies and Melted butter

Preheat oven to 350 and grease a 9x13 pan with butter or margarine. In a large bowl mix the first 4 ingredients until blended together. Put mixture in the greased pan and top with Rice Krispies, then drizzle melted butter over the top. Bake at 350 for one hour.
