What can i serve w/ broccoli cheese soup.?!
Any ideas for an entree that would accompany the soup well.
Something kinda quick would be great.
Answers: Besides bread. My hubby needs more than soup for dinner.

my first thought is a grilled ham n cheese sandwich. a popular answer, i see. i think anything would go with the soup. just think of it this way....you're serving soup with a meal instead of a salad...so cook up whatever you have on hand
A toasted ham and cheese sandwhich
A quesadilla with cheese and whatever you might have
Spinach salad
Fried onion rings, mushrooms, or calamari
Good quality hot dogs with mustard and sauerkraut
A chicnken breast, bacon, and tomato sandwhich.
Ok, now I am hungry!
You can make some sandwiches to go along with it.Maybe a hot ham and cheese or grilled cheese.Maybe a baked potato topped with some cheese and a salad, plus some warm rolls.Hope I helped!
Turkey sandwich, or a veggie side dish like carrots & peas. or brocolli & peas.
i wouldn't call this quick but its the only thing i have so---Baked Potato
fruit salad-
I think that my Great-Grandmother's chicken recipe would go well with b&c soup...
2 chicken breasts (either boneless or not)
1 cup of breadcrumbs
1/2 cup of flour
Salt, Pepper, and Garlic Powder to taste
1 egg
1 tablespoon water
Oil to coat the bottom of a fry pan
Turn on your oven to 350'
Heat your large fry pan and add enough oil to cover the bottom of the pan.
Take the egg and water to make an egg wash in a bowl big enough to roll the chicken around in.
Mix the salt, pepper, and garlic powder in with the bread crumbs in a zip lock bag.
Roll the chicken in the flour, dip in egg wash to coat, shake in the zip lock with the flour, brown in the fry pan on ALL sides. (Adding a tad more oil if necessarry before both are brown.)
Bake in the oven for 20 - 30 min's until blood runs clear when cut with a knife.
Serve with the soup!
Simple, quick, and easy! My family's fave recipe!
Maybe grilled sandwiches instead of plain bread ???? Grilled Ham and Cheese or Grilled Cheese/Tomato and a green salad? Microwave or bake a few whole potatoes, when cooked place one in a bowl, cut it down the center, pour a bit of the soup on it (add your own cooked broccoli if the soup is creamy) and top with crumbled bacon bits. It can also be served with a green salad. If you have any leftover chicken or turkey, chop it up, add to the soup and serve over hot, cooked rice.
How about a wrap of some kind with meat in it, or a couple of soft taco's
Just go to the grocery store and pick up a ham steak. They are already cooked and you just have to warm it up in a skillet on the stove. You can get them in all different sizes. Ham goes great with broccoli cheese soup!
Hot dogs or bratwurst if you eat pork or beef or turkey dogs and brats if you don't. Also broiled seasoned chicken thighs and breasts would be good and are very easy. You want something not too cheesy because he will have cheese in the soup. If you eat cheese and meat together go with a meat like sausage or chicken.
