Any great Amish Friendship Bread variations?!
So far, I have done the original with cinnamon chips mixed in,
Bannana with white chocolate chips,
Chocolate,
and Chocolate with carmel chips...............
So, any ideas?? were on a roll!

Amish Batter
Do Not Refrigerate DO Not use metal spoon
1 c sugar, 1 c flour, 1 c milk, stir
Day 1 - Do nothing; it has been stirred
Day 2 - Stir (use wooden spoon or plastic)
Day 3 - Stir
Day 4 - Stir
Day 5 - Add 1 c. milk, 1 c. sugar, 1 c. flour
Day 6 - Stir
Day 7 - Stir
Day 8 - Stir
Day 9 - Stir
Day 10 - Add 1 c. milk, 1 c. sugar, 1 c. flour
Stir, then pour 1 cup in 4 containers, these are now starters. Give 3 away & keep 1. You can make Cinnamon Bread or Friendship Bread with what is left in your container.
Cinnamon Bread
Remainder of Amish Batter 1 c. oil
4 eggs 2 c. flour
1 c. sugar 3 t. cinnamon
1/2 t. salt 1 t. baking soda
1 small box instant vanilla pudding 1/2 c. raisins
1/2 c. crushed nuts
Mix Pour in 2 greased loaf pans. Bake at 325 * F 1 hour. Sprinkle cinnamon sugar on top when it comes out of oven.
Friendship Bread
Remainder of Amish Batter 2/3 c. oil
3 eggs 2 c. flour
1 c. sugar 1 t. cinnamon
1/2 t. salt 1/2 t. baking soda
1 1/4 t. baking powder 1 t. vanilla
canned fruit or 2 c. diced apples or raisins
Mix. Pour in 2 greased loaf pans. Bake at 350 * F for 50-60 minutes.
Biscuits
1 c. flour 1/2 t. baking soda
1/2 t. salt 2 t. baking powder
Combine all above in large bowl. With spoon make well (dent) in center.
Combine: 2 eggs
1 c. Amish batter
1/4 c. oil
Beat 2 minutes on medium speed. Pour egg mixture in flour mixture all at once. Stir until dough cleans sides of bowl. Pour on floured board. Roll 1/2" thick. Cut out (circle cutter). Place close together on greased cookie sheet. Brush top of biscuits w/melted butter. Cover, let rise in warm place 30 minutes. Bake at 350 * F 15-20 minutes. Makes @ 2 dz. 3" biscuits.

1 cup Amish Friendship Bread Starter
2/3 cup vegetable oil
3 eggs
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 cup white sugar
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1 1/4 teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
DIRECTIONS
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease 2 (9x5 inch) loaf pans.
In a large bowl, combine the Amish bread starter with oil, eggs, 2 cups flour, 1 cup sugar, 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon, 1/2 teaspoon salt, 1/2 teaspoon baking soda, 1 1/4 teaspoons baking powder, and 1 teaspoon vanilla. Mix well. Pour into prepared loaf pans.
Bake in preheated oven for 50 to 60 minutes.

"This is a great variation to the traditional Amish Friendship Bread. My family says it's like eating chocolate cake. This bread freezes well and makes a great gift."

INGREDIENTS
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 cup white sugar
1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
1 (5.9 ounce) package instant chocolate pudding mix
1 cup Amish Friendship Bread Starter
1 cup vegetable oil
1/2 cup milk
3 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
DIRECTIONS
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Lightly grease two 9x5 inch loaf pans.
In a large mixing bowl, stir together all-purpose flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, salt, chocolate pudding. Make a well in the center of this mixture. Add Amish friendship bread starter, vegetable oil, milk, eggs and vanilla extract; mix well. Pour batter into prepared loaf pans.
Bake in preheated oven until a toothpick inserted into center of the loaf comes out clean, about 60 minutes. Cool on a wire rack for 10 minutes before removing from pan.

1 1/4 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt

1/3 cup melted butter
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup brown sugar -- packed
2 teaspoons cinnamon
1/2 cup oats -- quick-cooking
1/2 cup nuts -- optional
Starter: mix all ingredients in a glass bowl. Cover loosely with lid or plate. Let stand in a warm place. Stir each day. On the 5th and 10th days add 1 cup flour, 1 cup milk and 1 cup sugar.
Then remove 2 cups starter for restarting. (Keep 1 cup for yourself and give 1 cup to a friend.) To the remainder combine all batter ingredients, mixing well.
Pour half the batter into two greased and floured loaf pans (or one 9x13 pan).
Mix streusel topping and pour half of it over the batter. Add the remaining batter, then the remaining streusel and bake at 350 for 40- 50 minutes until the cake tests done.
My mom uses the basic recipe than adds just about any kind of berry or fruit she wants. The kids like the blue berry or cranberry loaves. They also love the chocolate chip ones too. So I think you could add anything to the basic bread and it'd be good.
