Your favorite lamb dish? I like Gyros!?!
But I had a seriously good roast one time... lots of garlic and EVOO. Yum.
Lamb is one thing I dont' mind eating, but I"m too scared to make it!
Answers: Most gyros are a blend of about 80% lamb and 20% beef. I love them, esp. w/ tzatziki and fresh onons!

Gyros is made of lamb?! I didn't know that... I thought they were beef or something. Oh well... But still, gyros is pretty good. :]
i like gyros too...
Tonight I marinated two small lamb steaks for about an hour in a dash of balsamic vinegar, a squeeze of lemon, a generous sprinkling of Tesco Italian seasoning and a gulp of extra virgin olive oil. I then heated up some M&S Potato Gratin and griddled the lamb steaks for 12 minutes on a hot griddle pan, deglazing the pan with a mixture of vegetable stock and a dash of red wine.
It was pretty much my favourite lamb dish of all time, although I do love good gyros. But I only know gyros from north-east Greece, where the staple meat is not lamb but pork. A guy in Ouranopolis (133km east of Salonika) does fabulously delicious pork gyros with chopped onion, ketchup and mustard.
I made gyros for supper tonight using Alton Brown's recipe. They were great!

Grilled rack of lamb with sage crust and mint jelly. Yum. Man, now I am super hungry LOL. I should never have visited the food section.
