Can i make a good salsa with rotel diced tomato & green chilis, without adding the extra tomatos?!

Question: i know most salsas call for a can of whole tomatos or something similar, i do not have that, so could i make a salsa using the can of rotel diced tomatos and green chilis? if so what other things could i add to this?

Sure you can- a can rotel, 1 can green chilies, mix.

I would add:
fresh cilantro
1 tbs lime juice
salt
pepper

and then maybe
1/2 can black beans and 1/2 can whole kernal corn

of course it tastes the same just looks green cause of the green chilies

oh yes!! Yummmy! Just add a few chopped green onions (yellow or white will do if you don't have green) The Rotel is full of spices already - so taste before you add more salt or garlic salt - enjoy!!

sure. i never made salsa before so yeah.
gosh i dont even know how to cook! but dont blame me im only like turning 14 in '08 yeah i should learn........... >_>

canned tomato has a really mushy texture.
if you have fresh tomato, it makes it amazing.
and add onion.

I have even in an emergency just used it straight from the can. You certainly could though-Just adjust the amount of other chilis you put in. Add some diced onion, cilantro if oyu have it. chopped jalapenos. Now you're making me hungry.

yeah go for it! Use rotel, onions, lime juice, and peppers if you have any! mmmmm.... salsa!!
good luck and have fun!

Of course. Add green peppers, green onions and if you have them some jalapeno peppers. Or extra hot sauce, red onion, and mango. Endless.

FRESH CILANTRO!!!!!!
