What does it mean when there is alotta water when u warm up ur lasagna?!
Answers: I purchased some lasagna from the local eatery cold. When I warmed it up, the contents in the pan was watery. (a combination of water, sauce ricottta cheese??) So I poured it off. When I warmed the remaining portion, it too was watery. Is this because of the ricotta or watered- down sauce? I know it's not from the sausage or the noodles.
The noodles WERE dry before they were cooked. They absorbed a ton of water. The cheese has a ton of water in it. The sauce has a ton of water in it. When freshly cooked, all of these things tend to HOLD the water in. But, when you warm them up, they tend to GIVE Up some of the water they are holding in. The water and the oil in the sauce separate too. Thus, you get what looks like extra water. I do not think that you were cheated in any way. But, if you complain, you may get some more at no charge and then you could compare the two.
I have noticed this before also. Have a nice new year!
It's condensation from where it was cold, it won't hurt you.
either they didnt drain the noodles or the sauce is cheap and watered down
prob the tomatoes got the liquid cooked out. Normal. not to worry. eat it.
Sometimes it will do that if it has been frozen. I make lasagna with spinach, and it gets watery as it sits also, because of the spinach. If it has even been kept in the fridge, which it would be, the condensation can cause it to be watery.
youre question is confusing.
There should not be that much water in it. I would not buy their lasagna again.
ummm.. interesting it could be from watered down sauce or if it was frozen lasagna it could be the water from that...but i dont really know!!!???!!!! but "when in doubt throw it out!!!!"
The ricotta was too "wet". They ought to have used a "dryer" ricotta. I could be the sauce, but I doubt it. This is a common problem when they hurry or don't know what they are doing in the first place. You have a right to complain.
Make your own!
Nothing like home-made!
Your tummy will thank you!
it sounds like the sauce seperated, or that it was frozen and defrosted too quickly. if that was the case, the ice crystals get too big and won't incorporate back into the food, and the end result will be a dry lasagna.
