Wild Rice--How do you can it?!
Answers: Does anyone know how to can wild rice? I know it can be done because I have eaten commercially canned wild rice-and the convenience is unbeatable--but how do I do it at home safely?
If your pressure cooker does not list a time for wild rice (mine does not) I would contact an "Extension Office". In the Midwest they are often part of the state university system with a person at the county office. Contact one from Minnesota and adjust for your elevation.
See link for the University of Minnesota Extension service below.
i think if you buy those jars...like the "old fashioned" jelly jars..you can use those...but in order to "can" something, it has to have a preservative in it
I would imagine using the pressure cooker methods..
