Answers: We need a flag and some information too.

Russian black bread

1 1/2 cups water
2 tablespoons cider vinegar
2 1/2 cups bread flour
1 cup rye flour
1 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoons margarine
2 tablespoons dark corn syrup
1 tablespoon brown sugar
3 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
1 teaspoon instant coffee granules
2 teaspoons active dry yeast

Place ingredients into the bread machine in order suggested by the manufacturer.
Use the whole wheat, regular crust setting.
After the baking cycle ends, remove bread from pan and place on a cake rack.
Allow to cool for 1 hour before slicing.

borscht - a beet soup very Russian... but kids may not go for it's red red colour. Unless you make it more vegetable or beefy with just a bit of red beets in it.

Also Russian dumplings called pelmeni... a meat filed dumpling.
chicken kiev - though a little labour intensive.
Head to your local public library and ask for information on Russian foods. I bet they'll have cook books and you can adapt some of the recipes to fit the crowd.

I guess the boys are too young for vodka shots... ( but after it's over and the kids are done... parental organizers might want to indulge in vodka out of the freezer and have a few * we did it* shots! lol)

Have fun.
