Does this meal sound yummy?!

Question: does this go together?

fillet steak in a peppercorn sauce with sweet potato mash and baby vegetables.

or should it be served with normal mash? dont want the sauce and sweet potato flavours working against eachother.

wow you married lol

make normal mashed potatoes

Sounds lovely! Stick with normal mash-can you come round and cook for me! lol

I would go with regular mashed taters, otherwise you have too many flavors working against each other like you said. But the meal sounds wonderful!

too much going on their-beter go for normal mash or go for a garlic overload and make garic crushed potato's

don't do mash. make it baby potatoes for me ;-)

it's partly how good a cook you are also.

I've had some horrid food in expensive places , and great food in cheapo places. depends on the chef.

all sounds great but id go for normal mash i dont rate sweet potato mash

it sounds great, should be very good

I personally think the sweet potato mash sound wonderful with this, but i absolutely LOVE sweetpotatoes in just about any form!

Go with normal mash, season as normal ,ie salt papper butter, then add a tiny amount of horseradish, superb

1.Sweet Potato Mash
2.That sounds delicious

i like the sound of the Sweet Potato mash !!!
I'd be more than happy to sit down to that with you!!! x

I think the blend sounds awesome.
Whether it will be successful with your dinner party does depend on how much they appreciate creativity though.
I would opt for the sweet potato mash if given a choice in a restaurant but I like things that I don't tend to make much myself.
However, more people like normal mash that sweet potatoes I think so you have more guarantee of success with that.
Peppercorns and mash definitely goes really well together.

god that sounds great i will right over

Fantastic, You have it right. The mashed sweet potatoes will go well with the bite of the peppercorn sauce. Enjoy.

Just keep it plain and simple, sometimes over messing with food can spoil it, good luck and enjoy.

Sounds ok. I wish when going for dinner out or to someone's house they would let you have what you want. Just once i would like to be able to go to a restaurant and order marmite on toast to start, followed by fish fingers, beans and chips with angel delight to finish. Now THAT would be great!

Hiya xx Happy New Year to you - hope its a good one!! xx Oooh that meal sounds absolutely GORGEOUS!! xx I think sweet potato mash will go beautifully with your steak - its lovely and makes a nice change from normal mashed potatoes which are great but it's always nice to have a change :o) xx mmm am very hungry now lol - if you give me an invite I will bring some wine and do your washing up!! xx Seriously though - sounds absolutely fantastic and Im sure it will be a great success!! xx

Hmm, probably i would try.

As it is , - it sounds really lovely.......Enjoy...xxx

sounds good to me except use regular potatoes.

this was my xmas dinner in the cheshire cat and was scrumptious.

I would think the sweet mash will be a nice taste after the bite of the pepper sauce, and the pureness of the veggies will prepare the mouth for the bite of the meat and sauce.

Awesome!!!! Does that sum it up for ya???
Wish I was your neighbor and was invited over...or just send me the leftovers!!!!

Roasted or jacket potatoes would be much better with a steak.

I would do the regular mash. You do not want anything to be too heavy or too rich. With the regular mash it sounds wonderful. Good luck

Anything goes with steak. Yummy.

Just keep it plain and simple, sometimes over messing with food can spoil it

The steak i dont like but the rest sounds nice

It sounds absolutley Yummy, I should make something like that sometime...
