Very finely chop white cabbage, Grate some nice juicy carrots (about 2 large to 1 medium cabbage) add a little finely chopped onion, not too much though, and plenty of good quality mayonnaise. Gorgeous

Grate or finely slice, depending on your preference, white cabbage and carrot, onion if you like it, then mix with mayo, a little milk if the sauce is too thick then add a sprinkling of Aromat, delicious!

You could get pre-shredded slaw mixture, but really, it's much better if you shred your own.
After shredding, you can add green pepper, onion (not much), then make your slaw dressing as follows:

1/2 cup Mayo
3 tbls. vinegar
1/2 cup corn oil
salt
pepper

Mix well. The above amounts depends on how much shredded cabbage you have. You'll have to adjust that on your own.

Good luck!

Well, this is what I do. Finely chop you cabbage, carrot and onion and add a sprinkle of salt, which helps to draw out some of the water in the onion, which you then drain out of the bowl. Throw in a few poppy seeds, and then four large spoonfuls of mayonnaise and one of salad cream. Add a sprinkle of sugar and then mix and enjoy!

Hi i don't like shop coleslaw.
Finely sliced white cabbage grated carrot spring onion & small diced cuecumber mix together with mayo.

Purple cabbage and Wombok ( bout 2 cups of each),
Red, Green and Yellow capsicum, (small ones)
Snow pea sprouts, (bout 100g)
Toasted almonds.
Chuck it in a bowl and toss
Then mix, (in a small bowl)
Light soy suace (1/3 cup)
brown sugar, (table sppon)
lime juice, (whole lime)
fresh chilli (small chilli)
sesme seed oil. (teaspoon)
Pour it over, and eat up.
Its something a bit different.

I finely shred white cabbage and celery then add grated carrot, onion and a green apple. Mix all together with mayonnaise. The apple just gives a hint of sweetness and makes it less acidic.

Chop and grate carrots cabbage cucumber and onion and add salad cream or mayo

2 cups mayonnaise (or light mayo), 2/3 cup sugar, 1/4 cup white distilled vinegar, and 2 tablespoons prepared yellow mustard. Mix all until sugar is completely dissolved. Finely slice a head of cabbage and a couple carrots and toss with a light sprinkling of celery salt. Toss while you slowly pour just enough dressing over the veggies to moisten *Don't overdo the dressing, it takes less than you think. After sitting a while, there will be dressing in the bottom of the bowl. You can always add more dressing later if needed* Cover and chill salad. Refrigerate remaining dressing for later use.

Enjoy!

Keeping it simple: 1/2 white cabbage shredded, 1 grated carrot and 1/2 grated onion.

Add good mayonnaise by the tablespoon and stir in after every one is being added and stop when you get the thickness you like.

Shredded white cabbage
1 large onion finely chopped
Carrot - the bigger, cleaner and juicier the better
Ratio of 2 table spoons commercial salad cream ie Heinz
to 4 tablespoons mayonaise
Few caraway seeds, a little salt and lots of pepper
Optional extras would be perhaps some cashew nuts or dried roasted peanuts.

Prepare the vegetables. Put in a bowl for mixing.
In a smaller bowl mix the mayo with the salad cream, salt, pepper and caraway seeds if using.
Add this to the veg mix. Add nuts if using.

Perfect results every time. If I had the use of my hands, I would still be making this.

Grate carrot, red cabbage and red onion. Mix in a bowl with mayonnaise and salt and pepper. Simple!

This is an easy way to do it without a lot of fuss. Shred cabbage or buy shredded cabbage in a package. I have used Marie's Coleslaw dressing in the dairy section of the produce department. It's great. Just mix it with the cabbage.

Another way I have served it is with oil and vinegar. I use 1/3 c. of oil, 1/3 c. of vinegar(your choice of the kind you like) and 1/3 c. water. Add some sugar to taste and a little salt and pepper to taste. Mix into cabbage and let stand in refrigerator to marinate in the dressing.

For a change, try adding some chopped apple or a handful of raisins for a little added sweetness - or if you're calorie watching, use vinaigrette instead of mayo.
You could also add a handful of unsalted nuts for extra crunch too!

Either finely shred cabbage and carrots or buy the pre-made stuff in the bag, but make your own dressing. I make my dressing by combining mayo, apple cider vinegar, sugar and black pepper and a pinch of salt. Once in a while, I'll add a dash of caraway seeds.

shred your own cabbage- bagged doesn't taste quite the same
mix:
best foods mayo (about 1 C)
vinegar ( 2-3 TBS)
sugar (2-3 TBS)
salt and pepper
mustard (about 1/2 tsp to 1 tsp)
mix this all together
add to cabbage and mix up

Pretty Purple Coleslaw

Whole small head of Red Cabbage or
One Half head of larger Red Cabbage
2 or 3 carrots
Miracle Whip Salad Dressing
Prepared Horseradish (bought in a jar)
Dryed Dill Seed Spice

Shred cabbage using a shredder or a food processor..Scrape and shred carrots using the same method, but shred the carrots a bit finer.
Put in bowl and combine these two. Start adding Miricle Whip about a third of a cup as a time, stirring after each addition. Keep adding until you get a creamy consistency, where the cabbage and carrots stick together well. Add horseradish a teaspoon at a time, stir and taste..Add more to suit your taste...You want a zing flavor, not overwhelming horseradish flavor. Add 1/2 teaspoon dill seed and stir.

Coleslaw is always best when left to refrigerate the first day!

Vampire slaw - finely shredded fresh red cabbage, grated raw beetroot, finely chopped red onion, dress with best sunflower oil and soy sauce and sprinkle with sesame seeds, (toasted if you can be bothered). Different, and yummy
