Your oven should have a setting called "broil" (as opposed to "bake", and the temperature should also say "broil" - it's typically the highest temperature that you can go.

If you have a broiler pan under the oven (often with gas ovens this is the case), use that, but if you have a broiler on the top of the oven (often with electric ovens), then move a rack to the top shelf setting and put the broiler pan on top of that. Leave the open oven (electric) or the front folded down (gas) for air flow (otherwise you'll burn the meat).

Don't put water on it, it will cook in it's own fat (grease) which will drip down into the broiler pan.

As far as seasoning goes, that depends highly upon your taste buds. Frankly, I grew up on a farm in Iowa (they raise a lot of beef here, we raised black angus beef cattle), and things like steak sauce and seasoning beef were considered things that you do to improve the taste of a bad piece of meat. When someone offers me steak sause, I say "why, what's wrong with the steak?".

As far as how long, nobody can tell you that. It depends upon the type of steak and how thick it is, etc. Turn it over like once a minute or so, and look at how brown it is when you turn it. When you stick a fork in it to turn it, see how far down it is brown vs. pink - do the juices still leak out of the fork holes, etc.? How do you like your meat: rare, medium rare, medium, well done? You can always throw it back on the broiler if it is not done enough. There is nothing wrong with cutting a small cut into it to see how done it is too. You'll want to pull the broiler pan out of the broiler in order to turn/insect it.

your oven should have a broiler setting so thats that.
then as far as seasoning, just put some oil and some salt and pepper and garlic on it and stick it in the broiler from then on you just have to watch it and see when it's done.

you can set the oven on broil, and the temp on broil, put whatever kinds of seasoning you want (garlic powder, oregano, pepper, parsley), and cook for 5 minutes at a time and check for desired done-ness.

put it in the broiler pan , poke as many holes as you can in it with a fork **tenderness** then season it with what you like , me i use adobo , a lil onion powder and garlic powder, then put it in the oven , how long depends on how you like it , if well done i would say about 15 min then check , cut it in the mid till it is the way you like it , if more red then after 10 min , check every 5

Well for chuck, I recommend you marinate it. Buy a commercial marinate and give it time, up to 4 hours. If you dont have time, skip this.

Then, dry of the steak with some paper towels. Rub or spray some oil (I like olive oil), just enough to coat, and give a generous sprinkling of salt.

Preheat oven set to BROIL.

Place steak on the highest rack of the oven.

As for time, depends on thickness and how well done you like it.

Inch thick, maybe 5 minute a side for medium rare. Adjust up or down from there depending on thickness and desired doneness.

Good luck.

PS. A much better cut for oven broiling will be the ribeye or the new your strip.

I'd get a cookbook and an english/spanish dictionary

Put you oven rack on the top shelf turn on your broiler.I season my steak with seasonal salt garlic salt crushed red and black pepper flakes.Depends on the thickness i usally cook each side 6-7 minutes i like mine medium doneness.Cook a couple minutes longer each side for more well done.Put steak on broil pan and place on top rack.No water or oil on pan just throw the steak on the broil pan.

you only want to cook it for 5 minutes on each side then raise the steak to the top rack position in the oven and cook it for 3 min. per side. let it rest for 5 minutes then bon appetit! this is for a medium steak adjust times up or down for well or med rare

turn oven setting to broil,i put some pepper, some lawery's seasoning, and thats it,i dont salt, until it's cooked, then salt to taste, put ur steak,on broiling pan, needs no oil, cause it cooks from the top down, anyways cook till u hear some good sizzle going on,then ur gonna have to turn it over, and cook the rest of the way through, when u hear some more good sizzlin, open broiler and make a cut to see if its done the way u like,if so then salt,
