Is this chicken okay to eat?!

Question: I just got done cooking a chicken all day in my crock pot. I went to cut it up and noticed that it doesn't look like the chicken's I normally cook. The bones are brown and it seems like there is a lot more brown ( I am assuming blood spots or veins) through out the chicken. Is this okay to eat? I thought maybe it was a different kind of chicken?

From the USDA Food Safety Guidelines:
Darkening around bones occurs primarily in young broiler-fryers. Since their bones have not calcified completely, pigment from the bone marrow can seep through the porous bones. Freezing can also contribute to this seepage. When the chicken is cooked, the pigment turns dark. It's perfectly safe to eat chicken meat that turns dark during cooking.

I mean it is already cooked, so its sounds good to eat... :)

it might be ok but i wouldnt take the risk

that happened to me once i did not eat the chicken too scary

if it dont smell like chicken then i wouldnt eat it... but if you know it wasnt bad before you cook it then its ok just cooked

if I were you I would probably find something else to eat, yeah IF your not sattisfied with something dont take it, especialy if its something you will eat

If you started with reasonably good chicken, then the resulting product should be fit to eat. The browning could have resulted from : high temperature of the crockpot or from the seasonings (soy sauce, BBQ sauce?) If your liquids dried out while cooking, the browning means the bottom is burnt and the chicken will be bitter.

Dont worry, I will eat it for you
