A recipe similar to Captain's D's battered fish....?!

Question: Anyone have a recipe that is very close to the classic, crunchy, batter dipped fish at Captain D's? Also, do you kno what kind of fish it is?

I used to eat captain D's fish all the time as a kid, living down south. But, I've moved north and there are no captain D's! Plus, when at home, we always fried our fish with cornmeal (crunchy and good but not like the battered fish)....or baked or grilled it....plus i when i fry fish i use only whiting, trout, catfish, or buffalo....when baking and grilling i use snapper, tilapia, salmon, or tuna and i dont think that Captain D is using any of those....

So if you have a clue (or a good link), help a sistah out! thanks!

Captain D's uses a beer batter. I assume it's probably cod. Here's a recipe for beer batter.

Captain D's Fried Fish Beer Batter

1 1/2 cups flour
1 pkg. dry yeast
1 egg
1 cup beer (Coors worked)
1/2 cup hot water
1/2 tsp. salt

Mix the yeast and flour together. In another bowl beat together the egg, hot water and salt. Add the beer to the egg mixture. Next beat in the flour and yeast.

Drop fish into batter and cover thoroughly. Fry in hot oil. Drain on paper towels after removing from oil.
