Wraps are the best lunch in my opinion!

Spread peanut butter on a whole wheat tortilla and wrap around a whole banana or slice the banana first. Add honey, raisins, apples, etc.

Deli turkey or ham wraps are also great! Make a wrap with deli meat, lettuce, cheese, light dressing or light mayo or mustard, and whatever other veggies the kids will eat (tomotoes, pickles, cucumbers, onions).

Make banana bread and make peanut butter sandwiches with that.

Give them a little pizza snack. Melt cheese in between two whole wheat crackers and give them sauce in a small tub for dipping.

Let them build their own tacos at school. Wrap small tortillas in damp paper towels before putting in their lunches. Put shredded lettuce, shredded cheese, beans, tomatos, salsa, etc in small separate containers.

Also give them apples and caramel, baby carrots or celery with ranch, or trail mix made with nuts, pretzels, cheese crackers, dried fruit, a little bit of chocolate candy, oyster crackers, cereal, crushed granola bars and toss with honey and cinnamon.

Hope this helps!

My son likes turkey "sushi" roll ups. I make them with whole wheat tortillas, cream cheese and lean turkey breast. I roll it up and slice it into "sushi' like pieces and toss some chop sticks in his lunch box. He loves it!

turkey sandwiches are always yummy and you can put so many different things on it depending in what they like.

I worked at a country club for a couple years. The kitchen was open and I could interact and converse with the members.

I got requests for "something different" ALL the time.

One of the members, Mr. C., came up to the open kitchen and asked if I would PLEASE make something different for his golf party.

I told him, "For you, Mr. C., no problem."
[As long as I had the different foods available, it wasn't any problem for any of the members or their guests.]

I toasted some rye bread; mayo, crisp green lettuce, tomato, alternate layers of sliced ham, turkey, Swiss cheese and bacon; a slice of bread and repeated it.

When I sliced it in quarters, it looked like a rainbow. I brought it to the table and said, "Mr. C., in your honor I prepared this sandwich JUST for YOU! I call it the C. Rainbow Club! Enjoy it!"

The "WOW"s and gasps echoed through "The 19th Hole" - the grill room.

In a few weeks, I was flooded with requests for "The C. Club". or "The Rainbow Club". I made just about every one. Eventually, it was added to the club's menu.

In reality, it was the way it was presented and the way it looked - like a rainbow - to me AND to the folks ordering it.

Every day, you can do lots of different things with the foods you usually buy and prepare for your family. It just requires some imagination and experimentatiion.

Thanks for asking your Q! I enjoyed answering it!
