How to make an omelete?!
The rice and juice are easy since I only have to put the exact measurement but the omelete; sometimes it sticks too much to the pan or I scramble it around the pan, or it gets overcooked. Something is always not right with anything I cook.
Is there a way to make it perfect every time? Do you know an easy way to make it? How much oil? How long to leave it in the pan? etc. etc.
Answers: Sorry, this might sound stupid to most of you but I'm totally bad when it comes to cooking. Sometimes I just have to cook for myself (can't buy or nobody around to cook) and it's like this: I make rice, omelete and juice.

I usually hate when people just post links, but this one has instructions as well as pictures for making a perfect omelet.

too much work -mix the ingredients together for a scrambled egg masterpiece. it tastes the same.
Just put a little slice of butter in there and move it around till the whole bottom of the pan is covered and then flip it and move it around a lot so that it doesn't get brown and you know it's done when none is runny and it's all firm.
wow you are top contributer and asking question? that is great,
however i dont know the answer to your question, sorry, I am sure other people are gonna help you
good luck Mr Top contriputer, u r my role model , I am trying to achieve as many points as possible
all i know is how to make rice and eggs, but the rice has to be cooked by some1 elsed already lol.
egg and milk.whisk together and then put on frying pan add some mushrooms and some ham cook slowly.
use a non stick pan, wait until it is HOT then spray with cooking spray like "Pam". Then add your eggs which should already be beaten so that air can get in them to make it fluffy. Do not flip until the eggs have solidified.
That should help.
Spray your pan with some type of cooking spray, I usually cook mine at a low heat. Use your cooking intensil and raise the edges all the way around.
The secret is in the pan itself. If it's not nonstick, you're pretty much screwed. You only need some cooking spray or a very little bit of oil. Bon Appetit!
Omelettes are very tricky, I know it sounds daft but I have had the same problems and mine often end up like scrambled eggs!!
Good Tips!
1) You need a good small omelette pan
2) Very hot oil or butter, not too much
3) Mix the egss with a little water NOT MILK!!
You will be able to tell when it's done, it looks golden and brown, you will need to make sure it doesnt burn underneath though!
I always use:
3 eggs
A drop of milk
frying pan
a small drop of oil.
Just slowly work the eggs to start, then let them do their own work. Works for me.
But seriously, try and get a better diet!
Low fire 2.5-3 on an electric stove use a non stick pan plastic spatula and about a tablespoon of olive oil stir and it should come out fine I eat one every day for 30 years or more.
First use Pam in the pan. Do not have the eye too hot.
Mix egg's well, put into pan then when you notice them truning white add what ever to it. Cooking time in pan should be about 6 to 8 minutes. You should only flip once
make sure the pan is clean and has few scratches spray with non stick spray cook it at a low heat and wait until the egg looks done then fold it. take your time!!!
Use a non-stick pan and still use a little butter or oil.
I use 3 eggs, but use as many as you like. Scramble your eggs with a fork before putting them in the skillet and have the burner on medium.
Let the eggs cook for just a minute and then use a spatula to start pulling the eggs back from the edge all the way around the pan. As you are doing that, tilt the pan each time you pull the eggs away from the edge so that the raw eggs run down into the bottom of the pan.
Keep doing this until all of the runny uncooked egg has run down into the pan. By this time they are pretty much done on the bottom. Put anything you want (If you want anything in there) on one half of the omelette and use your spatula to flip one side of the omelette over the goodies you just put in (so that you have the omelette shape).
Flip it on each side once or twice more and you are done.
Season to taste.
Spray the pan with Pam and the omelet will not stick to the pan, so you don't need oil. When you mix in milk use one half of the egg shell to measure the milk. One half egg shell per egg is just about right. Cook it on low heat and cover with a lid to keep it from cooking too hot, the lid will allow the top to cook too.
I usually put a little slice of butter and spread it out along the surface of the pan I'm using. Before this, I already have my ingredients cut up into little pieces (bacon, ham, cheese, bell peppers, brocolli). Crack about 3-5 eggs and just throw them all into the pan (I usually try and get the egg whites with only a little bit of yolk for health reasons). After you get a "pancake" of eggs, pour all your ingreidents into the middle of the pan and wait until the eggs get more solid. You want to avoid leaving the eggs too runny. Afterwards, you just fold up two sides and press down with your spatula. Voila!
Have you ever made a ziploc omelete? Those are soooooo easy and they cook perfectly everytime. You will need a ziplock bag to make this..
Things You'll Need
eggs
quart-size Ziploc freezer bag
various other ingredients
mushrooms
tomatoes
onions
peppers
ham
bacon
hash browns
salsa
cheeses
large pot
Steps
- Crack 2 eggs (large or extra-large) into the bag (not more than 2) shake to combine them.
- Put out a variety of ingredients such as: cheeses, ham, onion, green pepper, tomato, hash browns, salsa, etc.
- Make sure to get all of the air out of the bag, close it tightly and shake it.
Place the bag into rolling, boiling water for exactly 13 minutes.
- Remove the bag from the water, open it and roll the omelet out and prepare to be amazed!
there are several steps to making the perfect omelet
1) grease (spray works best) a circular pan and turn the heat on medium
2) get a bowl and mix the eggs and add anything you want...bacon, leftovers(french fries and onion rings are awesome)
3) pour the bowl with mixed incredients onto the pan
4) after you hear the sizzling quiet down, take a larger spatula and check the bottom(if it is golden flip it)
5) after both sides are evenly cooked, fold it in half, grap the handle on the pan and flip it upside down onto your plate
6) ENJOY!
The key to the perfect omelete is a good non-stick pan and cooking spray. pour your eggs (pre-beaten) into the preheated pan that has been coated pretty good in spray (not extremely hot) about med/high temp. Use a spatula and gently pull the edge of the circle of egg in towards the center all of the way around and let the egg that is still runny leak out to the outer edge. Use your spatula and make sure it is not sticking to the bottom. Once you have done this and just about all of the runny egg is cooked around the edge the add your veggies and fillings and the fold over. The heat will cook the inside the last little bit and this will keep the omelet from being too dry. VOILA the perfect omelete
2 eggs for one person 4 for 2 people ect.
Put a little bit of butter in a frying pan and wait till it melts and covers the bottom of the pan.
Then crack two eggs and add them to a tablespoon of milk into a small bowl. Wisk this till gloopy and the eggs and milk have properly mixed.
Now pour this into the frying pan, this will take 3-4 mins to cook, so while doing this, grate a reasonable ammount of cheese and put it on a plate.
now you can either rip up some ham.... or any topping you want, and put it on another plate.
When the omelete looks nearly ready sprinkle the cheese and other toppings on.
wait till chease is melted, then unstick the edges of the omlet with a spatchula all the way round, give the pan a little bit of a jiggle to make sure its not stuck then use a fish slice/ spatchula to put it on a plate.
(you can eat now it wanted)
but i like adding a small ammount of sauce
like wostershire sauce.
or lee and perins.
you could also add other things,
let your imagination run wild.
hope i helped.
pac308
i crack 2 or three egg in boil wisk with folk then add a tiny bit of milk,
then i put in ham and cheese, salt and pepper. wisk again.
heat up oil till hot.
add mixture, make sure covers all pan. then start drawn back sides and tiping back the egg from middle in its place keep doing this till all set. put more grateted cheese on top and pop under grill till golden brown. lovely.
hope you understand what i mean. as it always works for me and taste fantastic.
Ah a omlet,an american pass time,
in a bowl mix up everything you want in yor omlet add a little milk whip up real well....get a frying pan hot remove it from the heat only long enough to pour in your egg mixture put back on mid to high heat, turn when well done,
first and most important go and buy you a good non stick pan with Teflon coating-yes they cost a little bit but will last for years-do not use anything metal in it that will scratch-that's what causes sticking-crack a few eggs-beat together-add ingredients--heat pan to a low medium heat-spray pan with a non stick cooking spray ( Pam ) pour in eggs -let cook till bottom of eggs gets stiff-use plastic spatula flip it over-let cook a minute and fold in half-serve--wash pan with soapy water and cloth-
ok. take the pan put it on medium put 2 tablespoons of margren
or butter let it melt swim it all around the pancrack about 3 eggs in it wait about 3 or 4 minutes or till u see a tiny bit of brom at the end and wal ur waiting u could tear some cheese and put it in then at 1 minute left start shuffleing the edge then the timer goes off flip the shuffled side on the other wait 2 minutes and take the omelete off and wait for it to cool that anwser ur question?
Use Pam spray so it won't stick to the pan. Beat the eggs in a bowl so it gets well mixed. Put the pan on stove on medium. Let it cook until it get fluffy, not brown. Put all your ingredients in there, like salt/pepper, bacon bits, chopped tomatoes, onions, green peppers, mushrooms, shredded cheese or what ever else you want. Ta Dah!!! And there you go! A healthy, easy meal made within minutes. Bon Apetit!
ok here it goes, you need a good non stick frying pan, some butter, eggs, ( no milk needed ) whip the eggs well, add a little pepper if you like.or salt too, some of whatever kind of add in's you like, ( ham, cheese etc..)green peppers, onions, mushrooms too ( some people like) heat the pan up on medium, add a little butter to it and let it melt, now pour the eggs 2-3 for a regular omlette and 4-5 for a big one, the tricky part is cooking the eggs on one side then flipping it over to cook the other side a little, ( you don't want slime stuff that might not cook all the way for a large omlette ) i do this just to make sure its cooked all the way thru, after you have the eggs cooked on both sides add the ingredients that you want on just half of the to be omlette, fold it over and let it cook for a few minutes ( till the ingrediants are hot), cooking the eggs on both sides does not have to be done but i would anyways( it looks better)add some cheese to the top while it is still in the pan, use butter, not oil
There are several things that make the perfect omelet. 1st - use a non-stick pan, like Teflon. And make sure it's not too big-an 8" skillet is what i use. Next use 3 eggs. Scramble them in a bowl with about a tablespoon of half & half or milk. Then put them in the skillet on medium heat. Whatever you decide to put in your omelet, don't over do it and put the filling on one side only. (Always add the cheese last before you flip the other side over.) Use a silicon rubber spatula-they are flexible and won't tear the omelet) to make several little openings in the un-filled side of your omelet and allow the still runny part of the eggs to fill them. When there is no liquid left, ad the cheeze on the filled side, use your spatula to gently lift the unfilled side of your omelet from the middle, and flip it over on top of the other side. Let it cook for a few more seconds then turn off the heat. Slide it out of the skillet and onto your plate and enjoy!
crack two eggs and whisk/ beat with a fork (bash up the yolks) and add a splash of milk and some herbs.
melt some butter in a small frying pan ~10" diameter then pour this into the mix. mix it all up then put the whole lot in the warm pan. when the bottom starts to brown fold it (add small lumps of cheddar or raw broccalli if you like into the middle) over then wait until the centre stops being liquid. shuffle it around in the pan to stop it sticking and flip it over if one side starts to burn.
then put onto a plate then enjoy!
Hey,
1. Scramble a few eggs
2. *Spray Pam Nonstick cooking spray in the pan before you start cooking*
3. Add whatever you want in the bowl of scrambled eggs (onions, green peppers, cheese etc.)
4. Pour the eggs in the pan and turn the heat on medium low heat
5. Once the edges of the egg look like they are cooked (it will be a lighter shade of yellow than the middle still wet egg)
6. Take the spatula and edge it under half of the egg and flip it over to meet the other half so it's in a half moon shape.
7. Wait just a few seconds then LIGHTLY press the center of the egg...if yoke spills out a little then it's not finished cooking but go ahead and flip it onto the other side to avoid burning.
8. Keep sliding the omelette around in the pan w/ the spatula to brown evenly....Wait a few more seconds and press LIGHTLY in the center again if it feels slighty firm and NO yoke spills out then it's all finished.
*They also have these metal omelette pans at Target and Walmart...you pour in the scrambled eggs and you lower the lid like on a waffle maker and it beeps after just a few seconds when it's done.
Hope that helped you some =)
11) No oil
2) For 1 man = 2 eggs and butter (not too much) and a tefal pan + salt + pepper
STEP 1: eggs and the butter or margarine out of the fridge! Room temperature!
STEP 2: dress your table
STEP 3: no bread? Perhaps you can go outside and walk to a store for some fresh bread. 'Light brown'
STEP 4: after your walking, getting hungry for bread, perhaps you can take a bowl
STEP 5: get a cup (yes for coffee) and break 1 egg per egg and do it in the bowl
STEP 6: take a fork and rear the egg (circle from bottom to top and do this easy) so that you have a 'yellow' substance:
If you get a uniform light yellow mass, is the all too much. You get the most delicious omelette if the mass still egg yoke still can be seen.
STEP 7: take the fresh bread out of the bag and put it on the table
STEP 8: take 25 gram of butter (that is not that much) on a low fire and let it melt easily.
STEP 9: as soon as the butter is melted, you put your eggs with it.
STEP 10: go through it with a wooden spatula in 'strokes' and be patient
STEP 11: Hold the egg loose. As soon as it does threaten to stick, you turn off the gas.
STEP 12: If you do not like a bit 'wet' then circle with your pan, but get it off the fire.
STEP 13: Be a pit patient, it still cooks in the pan, if you find it is enough get 50% on your plate
STEP 14: have a happy meal!
