Which way do you make your peanut butter & jelly sandwich?!

Question: I seem to be the oddball in this one, but do you:
a. Spread your peanut butter on the bread and then spread your jelly on top?
b. Mix the peanut butter and jelly together and then spread?
I do the latter and kids at school ask my children all the time "What is that?"

Hey Im with you and also use this to top a plain cake ---boy is that good. As for the kids asking what it is well tell them it is purple peanutbutter. This is what my kids call it and now my grandchildren and they won't eat it any other way so YOU GO MOM....

I spread peanut butter on one slice, & then spread the jelly on the other one. & then put them together : )

Peanut butter on one slice, butter on the other. Seldom, jelly in the middle.

My grandmother used to mix peanut butter, butter, and jelly all in one jar for us. It was a fun treat to eat these at her house. We thought we were getting away with something, but I suspect she did it to keep us from making a mess with 3 separate ingredients.

I always put the peanut butter on the bread first and then add the jelly....that way it looks like two separate ingredients instead of one!! It does seem odd to mix the two together first especially if they are in two separate jars.

White bread. Creamy Jiff on each slice of bread, grape jam in the middle.

pb on one slice, jelly on the other

pnut butter on one slice, then jelly on other so as not to contaminate the jar with the other. The jelly soaks into the bread just a little bit on the one side and butter prevents it on other. But I would not like to LOOK at a purple brownish goo on my bread. When you chew it up it makes no difference anyway!

A easy way is to buy the peanut butter jelly in a jar from your local supermarket. this is what i do. homemade way, i spread peanut butter on one slice of bread, and jam on the other slice of bread. than put the slices together.

Sounds gross mixing it together! I see it sold that way at the store and it always grosses me out. I am sure it's good, though.

I put the peanut butter on both slices of bread and the jelly in the middle. That way the bread does not get all soggy from the jelly.

Peter Pan Creamy
Welch's Grape - made it even easier w/ the squirt bottle!!
Mmmmm!

They used to sell PB and J Pop Tarts that were to die for!! They quit making them for some reason. They were so good!
