How long would it take to thaw a whole chicken?!

Question: I have a 5.5lb chicken currently in my freezer. Approximately how long does it take to thaw in the refrigerator? I'm trying to estimate the best day to cook it.

Thanks for your help!

Betty Crocker says 3-4 pound chickens take 24 hours in the refrigerator, so I would say at LEAST 36 hours, if not more.

try like 3 hours, maybe longer

I would give it at least 24 hours.
It will thaw faster if you remove it from the bag.
Put in a covered dish on the bottom shelf so that any liquid will not contaminate other foods.

If it is a whole chicken I would give it a whole day.

Fill your sink with ice cold water put it in there it should take 3-4hrs to thaw. The best is to have the water dripping and filling in the sink but that's waste of water so I won't do that but soak it in ice cold water it works. Good Luck.

u see i think it may takes three hours.
