Answers: So do you cooked certain items before you put them into a sandwich and then into the press?

the panini press is only to grill the outside of the sandwich, so anything inside should be already cooked...

Yes, it is not an oven so things need to be properly cooked beforehand.

Yes.

yes it just grills sandwich

Yes - things like bacon need to be cooked or your panini would be black before the bacon was ready :o(

Yes, you have to cook them first before you put them into the panni.

Yes, the press is to create the lines and toast the bread......not cook meat.

yes. the process of making the panini is to combine all the ingredients without grilling the bread. even if you're using deli meat which is already cooked, you may want to heat it up a bit to keep the sandwich hot all the way through. the press will not take that long to complete the process of the sandwich making.

PLEASE, PLEASE,PLEASE- make sure that anything raw, (apart from veggies) are cooked properly before putting them into the panini press.
You'll make yourself sick otherwise
