Pancake Help!?!
Answers: If i make pancake batter with self rasing flour instead of plain will they still turn out ok?
Yes I make them homemade to a little SR flour and eggs and Vanilla and milk mix it to Cake batter consistency and fry. Enjoy Mix to your likes.
They should, but don't add anymore baking soda and salt to the batter. It will already be in there
yes but don't add baking power because the flower all ready has it in it.
I only use self-rising..but that means you do not need the baking soda or powder. Actually, to be truthful, just using Bisquick pancake mix, which only calls for the egg and liquid, is the best..especially if you are not into cooking from scratch. They taste the same to me. Also I like to add a bit of chopped peach to my pancakes, or even blueberries. My grandmother always made them from scratch but when they came out with Bisquick back in the early 60s...she converted as well...HE HE HE

Leave out the baking powder and salt. For each cup of flour there is about 1-1/2 tsp baking powder and 1/2 tsp salt in self-rising flour.
