How do I substitute dry herbs for fresh herbs?!

Usually 1/2 the amount is just right, so 1 teaspoon is what you want to use.

dry herbs are more concentrated, use 1/2 tsp of dried thyme.
rub the herbs between your fingers first before adding.

1/2 tsp is correct oh ! you said 1 tbsp , i just had my coffee , 1 tsp should do it

equal would be 6 sprigs rubbed into your dish or put them in whole and tied as per boquet garni

use less with dry herbs... b/c the flavor is stronger... 1tsp of dried thyme... taste it and see, you can add more, but you can't cut it down if you add too much
