I accidentally froze my active dry yeast!?!
It's Instant Yeast - the kind that you don't need to dissolve before adding to the ingredients.
Will it still work???
Answers: I had some packages of active dry yeast in a bag with something I put in the freezer and accidentally froze it.

Freezing yeast will not harm it. Many people keep theirs in the freezer since it actually prolongs the life of it.
I've done it for years with no problems.
Get baking! I'm HUNGRY! ;)
It's now become unactive dry yeast.
nope.froze to death
Guess what. It ain't active no more.
oh thank god. i thought you were talking about something else.
Sadly no, you froze them to death. Now they're fatally inactive.
lol you have denatured the enzymes need new yeast sorry.
Go ahead and proof one of the packages. If it lives, it is ok.
Probably not, as yeast is a living organism. You most likely killed it when you froze it, so it won't work.
