Make a bread n butter pud with one

Make individual pizzas with another using the slices of bread as the base

and freeze the other for a rainy day!!

peanut butter and jam

just take bites, its not as bad as you think

Dip it in egg and shallow fry it.

tomatoe ketchup :)

peanut butter or if you got eggs french toast butter or even butter and sugar prety good together can make bread pudding

fools gold sandwich....

split the loaf and add a light coating of butter, lightly toast in the oven..

add 1lb of fried bacon, 1 small jar of peanut butter, and 1 small jar of your favorite jam.

elvis used to eat 1 of these by himself, but keep in mind this sandwich should feed 8.

put spices on it and serve warm

bread pudding

Oil (or butter, margarine, etc) mixed with garlic! (Or garlic/parmesan mix), spread or brush on slices and then heat or toast in the oven

Toast it and add some penut butter, and/or Jelly.
Grilled cheese
pumpkin butter
french toast
garlic bread

Some butter, sprinkle a little garlic, and put that baby in the oven for a few minutes --- Yum

If you have milk, eggs, and sugar (white or brown) plus some spices like nutmeg and cinnamon, you can make a tasty bread pudding, or maybe just some nice french toast.

Google recipes for bread pudding and see if you can't come up with something that will work with ingredients that you have on hand. (Even though the recipes may call for french bread instead of white, it will work, the texture just may be a bit different. You might even want to leave some slices out for a bit to "dry" them out slightly before making it.

Good luck!

Make soup and warm a couple to have with it - It's amazing how much bread you can eat with soup.

you dont always need a spread to make bread tasty. I work at an italian resteraunt and one of our appetizers is toasted bread with toppings of some sort.

If you have olive oil available, brush some on the bread, along with some garlic, and toast or grill it. Then you can top it with toppings of your choice, perhaps cheeses, or mixed vegetables with vinegar.

some suggestions:

Mozzarella cheese, garlic, and mushrooms

Fontina cheese, sliced tomato, pesto

finely chopped tomato and other vegetables with a small amount of chopped or crumbled cheese mixed with vinegar or balsamic vinegar or a dressing of your choice.

Mix things up, and see what tastes good

make some "tea sandwiches" always remove the crusts (i know wot mom said, but we're out on our own now, and it's more refined)

fillings such as cucumber or raddish sliced on buttered bread

my fav is walnut and cream cheese. no buttering the bread for this one.

i heard of pickles and peanut butter and every concoction immaginable.

if you dont want sandwishes, put on some potatoes and make a stuffing, 1/2 cubed bread, 1/2 mashed potatoes, melt some butter and saute some onions til golden, combine, add salt, pepper, and summer savory.

homemade?...just put in skillet on top of pool of melted butter (my mom uses butter flavor Pam for my heart patient dad) and toast lightly on both sides. mmmm. can make sandwiches...put under broiler for cinnamon toast...and when it is older and drier make bread pudding...any older bananas, make banana bread pudding....or chocolate bread pudding or...make crumbs in processor for meatloaf or meat balls, or for rolling fish or ....

lol umm ham

You all must think alike..my son would eat real butter and garlic on it every night!!
My grandbaby would eat cinnamon and butter and sugar on it..
Hubby doesnt like breads..
I would dip in my soup..I would make a fresh pot of soup and use it for dipping.
Grilled cheese with different varities of cheeses is YUMMY!w a warm slice of ham on it.

sugar........milk.......chocolate....her... dog....egg... and more...

Toast, rub some garlic on it, drizzle some olive oil & sprinkle a bit of oregano, salt - heat again and eat.

Spread slices with butter, sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon, put under broiler until butter melts and tops brown slightly. Mmmmmm

or

Spread with a mixture of peanut butter and maple syrup

Garlic cheese bread. YUM!!! Have some marinara sauce or alfredo sauce to dip it in. Even spinache artichoke dip would be good.
Now I'm hungry

How about homemade croutons? Dice bread in small cubes. Sprinke with garlic salt , bake in the oven on 275 degrees for about 20 minutes or until brown and crispy. Store after thay are cooled in a ziplock bag.
