Food saver mac and cheese?!
My husband likes to take stuff with milk (macaroni and cheese with hamburger) to work but doesn't have a refrigerator (construction) so will it be ok if it's not refrigerated?
Answers: If I put some mac and cheese in a foodsaver bag (vacuuming out all the air and sealing) will it stay fresh without being refrigerated?

I do this for my hubby all the time. He is a mobile autoglass installer and lives in his work van.
Take a thermos and fill it half way with boiling water. Stick your foodsaver bag into the thermos. Your mac & chez will stay nice and warm and you will have a happy hubby!
mmm...i would think that just because you suck all the air out that you would still want to keep it cool. to keep things cold just pack them with ice bags but he would have to find a way to warm it all back up.
If you put one of those blue ice thingys with it...does he have a microwave to heat it? Does he eat it cold? Put it in a wide mouth thermos, already hot if he does not. I use to send it to school with my kids that way.
Put a Ice Pack in his lunch pail to keep it cold. How will he heat it up?
Depends on the temperature outside, Why not get a wide mouth thermos/food jar and put it in there steaming hot?
Using a thermos would open up a lot more choices for lunch, mac & beef, soups, stews, leftovers(mashed potatoes and meat,) cold food; like fruits, salad w/chicken etc.
