What kind of fish does Long John Slivers and Captain D's use?!

Question: Im just wondering what type of fish it is that they use, and if anyone has a recipe for some simple fish recipes, just seasonings rather I would love to hear them. Also if you have a recipe for a simple fish batter I would love that too. Thanks!

Long John Silverfish :-)

uuummmm, are you sure you really want to know?? what if it's just parts of fish and stuff... (now ya got me all interested)

I think it is Alaskan cod? But I am not positive.

They probably use haddock or sole- similar to this one which uses tilapia- you can use any white fish for this:

INGREDIENTS
3/4 cup Italian seasoned bread crumbs
1 (1 ounce) package dry Ranch-style dressing mix
2 1/2 tablespoons vegetable oil
1 pound tilapia fillets
2 teaspoons butter

DIRECTIONS
Place the bread crumbs in a bowl. In a shallow dish, mix the dressing mix and oil to form a paste. Coat the tilapia fillets with the paste, then dredge in the bread crumbs to lightly coat.
Melt the butter in a skillet over medium heat. Place the fillets in the skillet, and cook 5 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and easily flaked with a fork.

White Fish or Haddock? both kinda cheap? maybe Sole cheap too!

Frozen. Not worth eating . . . .

Cod i would guess, but now a days who knows for sure.
