Answers: If kept in fridge in sealed container, no! If kept on counter top in bag, they will become rancid as will anything containing oil.

i have had them go but it was over a year that i had them

Yes! If they look or smell old, throw them out, and if you taste them, you'll know for sure if they're old.

Its best to keep all nuts in an airtight container in the fridge or freezer so that they keep longer.

Good luck!

They can go rancid. The best way to store them is in the freezer.

Yes. All nuts contain essential oils, which, over time, turn rancid. I keep all my nuts in the freezer to avoid spoilage.

yes nuts can expire. I store mine in the fridge to get a better shelf life but the biggest key is to smell them. they take on a while new aroma when they go bad. most things now have open coding i would check the date on them to be sure.

no they can not cause first of all no nuts can expire and as long as the nuts are in the shell it wouldent get dirty or damaged cause its in a shell and it wouldent expire cause nuts dont expire

yes, i ate some yesterday and they were definately off.
didn't leave a very nice taste in my mouth, i tell you that! :P

YES -- I HAD SOME STILL IN THEIR ORIGINAL PACKAGE AND AFTER ABOUT 6 MONTHS I OPENED THEM ONLY TO FIND MOLDISH STUFF ON THEM IT WAS GROSS I THINK YOU WILL BE ABLE TO TELL IF THEY HAVE GONE BAD. GOOD LUCK AND REMEMBER IF THEY LOOK OR SMELL DIFFERENT CHANCES ARE THEY HAVE GONE BAD

yes, they will have a rancid taste and smell.

They can, but if you just got them they should stay good for at least a year or maybe less.

Yes walnuts expire if you dont eat them.

i dont know why, they just do

Yes, as soon as you open the package the freshness starts to go away. If they're in a can they may be okay for a few weeks, but if it's a plastic wrap package, then they're only good for a few days.

Yes. Because of the oil in them they will become rancid. They can even spoil or decay while in the shell as any organic product will. Store them in a sealed container in the fridge or freezer for best results.
