How do you put the pan lid quietly on top of the pan?!


Question: this may seem like a strange question, but when i sneakily go into the kitchen to try the food i always get caught out when i put the pan lid on the pan and it clangs!

Tip the lid so one side goes down on the pan first and then very slowly start to lower the other side down.

Slooowwwwwly is the key!! You are probably rushing because you are being sneaky.... but try to do it slowwwwly next time.

Being sneaky is an art-form!
If you set pan lid slowly, then you won't have any problems. Besides, who does it hurt that you are tasting whatever they are making? Report It

    How would anyone on Yahoo answers be able to answer this question, just don't be loud...
    even harder to do on the cookie jar...practice...
    I think, if this is so important to you that you need to post a question about it so that you can work toward a resolve for this problem. Then i am thinking you really need to get out of the house more and get a life. Obviously, you have an aweful lot of alone time going on here.....
