What is your favorite green leafy vegatable, how do yo prepare it and what type of place do you purchase it at!
Answers: example veg stand or supermarket, is is easy to find good quality?
i like cabbage.
I buy it at the grocery store, or grow it myself.
I usually shred it, then saute it.
Cannabis sativa, its usually roasted on a open fire. I usually have friends growing it or you can cruze down to the bad side up the tracks and pick some up.
Bon apetite
Spinach, Whole Foods Market
Heat up about 2 tbls of bacon grease and stir 1 lb of spinach to wilt. serve hot
I like spinach and then romaine lettuce is a close second. I purchase both from the fruit market.
don't know if this qualifies, but it does have leaves, i just don't eat them...
kohlrabi :)
peel them (1 per person is plenty)
cut them into french fry size pieces (from top to bottom as the bottom is tougher)
boil in salted water for ~15 min. on high (they have to be aldente)
make a white sauce (google it) add a little nutmeg and lots of fresh parsley. add the kohlrabi and serve. not many people know what to do with kohlrabi, kids love this too!
available in any good grocery store and cheap - quality is best in the fall when it's in season, but can be bought year-round
Broccoli. 1st I clean off. Take a 10 -12 " pan and put in enough water to cover 1/2" , add sprinkle of sea salt,or garlic/onion salt can be used, tbls.butter/marg. place cut up broc into pan, bring to boil, reduce heat to simmer and cover for 10-15 min. I always try to go to my local fruit/veg market, but grocery store fresh works fine
