What is better to cook quesidillas with a george foreman grille or a stove with frying pan?!

Question: for cooking class

Answers: for cooking class

stove

I prefer a frying pan and quesadillas done in the oven are great too!

On a stove. Get the pan hot, butter the tortillas put 1 in pan add cheese (and meat if desired) top with other tortilla. Yummy!!!!

I agree w/ ChefMel....

Better in a skillet w/ a tiny bit of butter. Mmmm.. they are so good this way.

on a stove that way the cheese won't run all over.

George Foreman grills are a con i cannot believe they are so popular, what you need is a grill pan, which is basically a frying pan with raised ridges along the surface, this gives what ever you are frying the nice charred line effect, and lets fat etc. drip out of your food and stays between the ridges. These hav been around for donkeys years and do exactly what the GF grille does, only better, and without the faff.

Stove works much better!

In the oven! I coat the outside of the tortillas with butter and put it on a pan, put in ingredients, and cook at 400° flipping after 10 minutes and cooking 10 minutes more.

On the stove with the frying pan would be better. Since the Foreman grill is slanted, all the cheese melts out.

I agree with Oscar M. While I don't have the grill pan I do have a stove top grill made of cast iron that is large enough to set over 2 gas burners. One side has the grill ridges, flip it over to the flat side for pancakes & yes even quesadillas if you wanted. I do use the grill side for my quesadillas though. It's great & can be seasoned just like any other cast iron implement.
