Can I just say thank you for saving the day?!

Question: I complain like most people about the false violations-and have thought of leaving. But today Yahoo answers helped me wirth a FOOD problem. A substitute for buttermilk and a reciepe for bread.
Thank you so much for this question and answer. I have no baking powder and the only reciepe I could find for bread without it was Irish Baking Soda Bread calling for Butter Milk! I had no butter milk either!

Glad you found a solution to your problem. And I love the way you cleverly worded your thank you so that it was a question. If you hadn't done that, some idiot would be reporting it as rant, or chat or not a question.

It's always nice to know there are substitutions that can make a recipe work when you can find, or don't have an ingredient.

ok

your very welcome

Better vote for best answer in you last question :) I am sure the person who gave the advise would like the points.

Ok. Yeah, I can't believe more cookbooks don't include the easy substitute for buttermilk. 1 Tablespoon of vinegar or lemon juice and enough milk to make a cup. Let set for 5 minutes and tada, buttermilk.

Its good to know that there are people who give back!
