Is white wine vinegar different from sherry vinegar?!

Question: Sherry is a "fortified" wine [it has a significantly higher alcohol content, and some is distilled and then re added to the sherry] whereas white wine is, well, white wine.......there is a definite difference in taste, especially in, say, a vinaigrette.....you'll really notice the difference in taste there.....in a cooked dish, however, it would be pretty difficult to tell the difference......Enjoy!!

Yes. Sherry is less sweet and has a higher alcohol content.

Yes it is. Slightly different taste. There are many kinds of Vinegar. Rice, Wine, Cider, just to name a few.

The final flavor will be different. Sherry is made from white wine, true, but it is processed differently.

I never buy the wine vinegars. I use the real wine or sherry. I like the flavor better that way.
