Reg. Sour cream or Mexican?!

Question: I cook a lot of creamed side dishes that call for sour cream. I have used both but I prefer the Mexican sour cream, However when cooking for others I don't know which to use. i am making sweetish meatballs and was thinking the Mexican would be better because it has kind of a tang to it. What do you think?

Sounds good to me - will you make me some? :)

I don't think mexican sour cream would go with that. Sour cream is already tangy, the last thing you want is a chili powder/cumin-type flavor with something like sweet and sour meatballs. If you really want to use your mexican sour cream make the meatballs in something like an enchilada sauce, but not sweet and sour sauce.

either would work, but the regular would probably be better with the swedish meatballs, because it is thicker ( and where I live it is cheaper!)
