whats marmite? plz tell me, im curious

I live in America and we can't even get marmite here.
I've never had it, but I want to, cuz everyone says its great.

i'm American, but i *love* Marmite. i have friends in the UK send it to me. mixed with butter on toast, or mixed with butter and stirred into hot rice, or with hot water to make a tasty 'broth' that kind of reminds me of miso soup or beef broth. actually, it makes a good seasoning for things in place of beef boullion. i'd love to hear more ideas for using it, too.
