Yes you can omit the salt, the only caveat though, is that salt regulates the yeast in the bread so you'll have to spend a little more time monitoring your dough and use a smidge less sugar or milk whatever your using to feed your yeast. Other than that it's fine. I haven't baked with salt in years!

The bread will not taste good with out the salt. Cut the salt from your other foods.

It will actually rise more. But you won't like the taste of it as the dough needs salt to make it taste good,,,just use a little less.

Salt is necessary in yeast breads because it keeps the rising under control. The sugar kickstarts the rise while the salt works on the other end by keeping the dough from rising all over the place. Your bread won't work without the salt.

I have been cooking and baking my whole life. (I'm 42) I do NOT use salt for any reason, and my breads, including my yeast breads have always turned out just fine. I have never liked the taste of salt, therefore I have never used it. I don't even buy salt. So you can omit salt from every recipe you have. Salt is more about taste then anything else.
