Can you use baking powder instead of baking soda for cookies?!

It won't be exactly the same, but it would be better that leaving it out. Use a tad more powder than the soda called for in the recipe.

well i have tried it and it caqme out a tad different just add a little bit less of baking soda than the recipe calls for if you don't have baking powder. add a little bit because if you put extra then you will have sour and nasty cookies
