Cut up chicken and sweet potatoes!?!

Question: Normally I'm pretty good at conjuring up recipes but I want something different but simple. I have cut up chicken and diced sweet potatoes in a casserole dish to throw in the oven but what else?

I'm looking at a type of sauce or something savoury. Thanks for any ideas!

I made a roast chicken last week with sweet potatoes around it. alittle olive oil on the chicken, salt, pepper, garlic and rosemary. Seaon the potatoes the same way delicious, it didnt need a sauce or anything

M favorite website is ALLRecipes.com because you can do a ingredient search and type in the ingredients you want and it will list all recipes with those ingredients. I always use that website when I want something different. And it has reviews of the recipes from people who made that recipe telling if they liked it or not and what they did different. It's the best website!

You can add whit wine and butter to it!

I have made that before !! try this, first cube up a stick of butter and mix in. salt pepper to season. then make a marinade out of a sweet mustard and honey or brown sugar, and drizzle it over the chicken and sweet potatoes and bake at 350 for about 40 minutes... its very tasty and smells soo good cooking.. enjoy

How about some pasta and shredded cheese on top.

This is not a sauce. Use half cup of maple syrup with 2 teaspoons of cinnamon mixed in and two cloves of minced garlic. Pour it over the chicken and potatoes . Just be sure to season the chicken before you pour the syrup over it.

I would see what dried herbs I have, I like sage, and sprinkle a teaspoon over and add a chicken stock cube.
Add onions, carrots and parsnips, and bang in a 165C oven for about an hour.
Drain the hot liquid to a pot and pick out a chunk of sweet potato and mash.
Parsnips and carrots could be used also, until your liquid gets to the right consistency.
Plate up and pour over the sauce

Add two cans of Cream of Mushroom straight from the can (do not add water). Also, add a can of peas, diced carrots, and some chopped celery. Salt to taste.
